![]() We are currently showing in many diffrent diciplines at various venues across Ontario. We are hoping for another great summer of showing and competition. We have begun the season with alot of training and preparation in hopes for a very fun and sucessful year. We are currently competeing on the Ontario DockDogs curcuit as well as attending many CKC Conformation and Obedience events.
At the Rottweiler Club of Canada Canadian National Specialty show in August 2008, I showed Desi for the first time in the ring! First we showed in the 12-18 month sweeps. She won her class and went Best of opposite sex. She showed really well, I need to get used to showing her a bit more, its like having a new car, takes time to adjust :) She showed really well . We then, showed in the RCC National Specialty under Filiberto Arniella, Puerto Rico. She did well! She won her 12-18 month class, then took Reserve Best Female, to a nice Open bitch. I am really happy with her, she is a perfect girl! I think Desi has a very bright future as a show and competition dog! ![]() Desi and I in the ring at the RCC National Specialty. At the 2008 Dog Days of Scugog, in Scugog, Ontario we participated in the Ontario DockDogs event. Leah jumped a weekend best of 17.06 feet to narrowly miss making it into the Pro finals. In the final wave on Sunday, Dale pulls off a 14.04 to lead the Junior Division going into the finals. In the finals, Dale gave it his all and surprised even me with a 15.06 to shut out Bullet, a Black Lab who had a 15.05. Dale took home the Dog Days of Scugog Junior Division Championship. I am so proud of him! At the 2008 Hamilton Kennel Club Show on June 27 & 28, Leah completed her Canadian Companion Dog Obedience title. She worked really well on Saturday morning Novice B trial and earned a score of 189.5/200 under Canadian Kennel Club Judge Jim Hamm. In the afternoon show she wasn't quite as focused, earning a 179.5/200 under judge Cheryl Bishop. On Sunday, with only one leg left to get Leah pulls off another passing score with a 181/200, also under judge Jim Hamm. It was a very fun and sucessful weekend overall. In June 2008, we attended Woofstock to compete in an Ontario DockDogs event, in Toronto, Ontario. It was a great event! The weather was amazing and we had a great time. The competition's finals were held on Sunday. Dale was in the lead going into the Novice Jumper Division Finals. In the finals, he sailed off the dock to win his division with a jump of 10.06 feet. He was amazing! Leah was also in the lead going into the Junior Jumper Division finals. She managed to pull it off, she won her division with a 12.08 foot jump. She too was amazing, she loves the water and really came thru in the end. ![]() Dale & Leah with their prizes from Woofstock. |
